ugh i don’t even know anon i got into the show like 5 days ago because my entire dash was sterek and was like okay, might as well check it out

… and then it just creeps up on you and suddenly you realize that they are perfect for each other and literally the only person that’s been consistently there for derek in his life since he moved back to whatever the fucking town is called is stiles, and stiles is clumsy and trusting where derek is elegant and doesn’t trust anyone, not even himself and i think even if they don’t end up together romantically they will be awesome friends with snarky banter and a grudging respect that you could see in derek’s eyes every time stiles stands up to him even though his eyes are glowing red and he’s threatening him with bodily harm

i think stiles is the only person that really treats him like a person rather than this like mythical woodscreature that broods in the corner of bedrooms, and that’s really important to derek. i don’t think he’s had that since laura died, the ability to just relate to someone and have them see you for who you really are. stiles just accepts that derek’s an alpha werewolf and doesn’t give a fuck, just rolls with it cause this is his life now and they keep getting thrown into situations together where they have to trust each other and when deaton told derek that the one person he should trust doesn’t trust him at all i don’t think he was talking about scott
